OS Landranger 1:50,000 series maps, overprinted with airspace and BBAC SA data

All maps which have BBAC SA data on them are normally available from stock. All other sheets are available, but some of the less popular areas, which are not normally stocked, may be subject to a few days delivery delay. Overprinting Details
We overprint our maps with most of the aeronautical information which is included on the CAA ‘half million’ aircharts. This includes airlanes; controlled airspace; ATZs; MATZs; AIAAs; danger, restricted and prohibited areas; aerodromes; gliding sites.
Some information which is on the half million maps we tend not to overprint. This includes Altimeter Setting Region (ASR) boundaries; Flight Information (FIR) boundaries; helicopter routes; ground based obstacles (masts, wind turbines).
We always endeavour to ensure the information overprinted on our maps is accurate and up to date. However, we are not infallible and we cannot guarantee there are no errors. If you find any errors, please advise us and we will endeavour to rectify them.
And of course, pilots are reminded that it is their responsibility to ensure they are flying with the correct information. In case of any discrepancy, the officially published CAA maps and NOTAMs will take precedence.
Centred maps
As well as the standard Landranger series, we can supply and overprint the OS Select range of centred maps. These are based on the standard Landranger mapping data, but centred on a point of your choice. As with the standard maps, they show a 40 x 40 km area. To order these, you simply need to specify the centre point.
Airspace only overprinted maps
Of particular interest to non-balloonists are the standard and centred Landranger 1:50,000 series maps overprinted with just airspace information. Ideal for paraglider and microlight pilots who want more detail than the half million or quarter million airmaps, but still need to have the airspace information. Standard series maps are £9.50 each, centred maps are £23 each.
Lamination
Why not protect your map by getting it laminated. Our lamination film is only 35 micron thick so the map can still be folded afterwards without taking up the whole of your flight bag. Not only that, it gives a soft matt coat which can be written on with ordinary soft pencil and then erased with an ordinary eraser. No more specialist pens. Currently, lamination is only £5 per map extra.
Flat or Folded
We used to get flat maps from Ordnance Survey to overprint on. Unfortunately, in their wisdom, OS have seen fit to stop making these available (unless you’re in the military!). Therefore, all our standard OS maps are based on their folded maps and so are supplied folded when overprinted. If these folded maps are laminated, they do tend to flatten out, so can be supplied flat if required.
Centred maps are still supplied flat when we receive them, so can be supplied to you as either flat or folded.
Please specify if you want your maps supplied flat, otherwise they will be folded. Remember that flat maps are supplied in a tube and so the postage costs will be a bit greater.

Overlays
Instead of overprinting a map, we can print the relevant data onto clear film or tracing paper, to provide an overlay. This is a great way to check other maps, e.g. at a balloon meet, to ensure all pilots have the most up to date information.
Pricing
Prices for overprinted maps have been calculated on the complexity of the information to be overprinted. These currently range from £9.50 to £20.00 for standard Landranger maps and from £23.50 to £34 for centred Landranger maps.

We are not VAT registered, so there is no VAT on any of our quoted prices.
Delivery, Postage & Packing
Rather than have a single 'one size fits all' charge for delivery, we have tailored our P&P charges according to what is being sent and how it is packed. Maps are normally despatched by first class post. Charges start from £1.25 for a single folded OS map. Flat maps are sent rolled in postal tubes, this will be more expensive and may be sent as parcel post. Overnight recorded delivery service is also available for an extra charge.

Orders may be placed by phone or email. Please phone or email to check stock and arrange account facilities before placing an order.
Payment
Maps are usually despatched on an account basis, with an accompanying invoice. Payments are requested by return. Alternatively, payments may be sent with the order (don't forget the postage!). Cheques should be made payable to Aerostationery. Account details for electronic payments are given on the invoice. Unfortunately, we are currently unable to accept credit or debit cards.
