Overprinted Map Update Service
A subscription service to allow users to keep their ballooning maps up to date.
- The quickest and easiest way to ensure your maps are up to date
- Unique, easy location system for updates
- Low cost service
- Subscribe to as many or as few maps as you wish
- Change your subscription as often as you wish
- Clear unambiguous notification of your account status at all times
How It Works
Subscribers notify Aerostationery of which maps they require updating, together with a date to start the service from (which can be backdated).
At regular intervals (typically weekly during summer), whenever the BBAC SA data is updated, map updates will be produced in the form of self adhesive overprinted stickers.
The updates are despatched to those subscribers whose maps are affected. If there are no updates for you, you receive and pay for nothing.
Pricing
Updates are currently charged at 25p each, plus 45p per mailing (Note the price increase after the Post Office raised their prices in April). There are no other fees, although subscribers are requested to provide a £10 minimum initial advance payment and to endeavour to keep a positive float thereafter. There is no additional charge for payments in arrears, but we reserve the right to get a bit stroppy and suspend the service if you fall too far behind.
How to Subscribe
Simply notify us of which maps you wish to subscribe to, how many copies for each map you want and the date from which you want to start. (You can also start from a particular SA number, but remember that subsequent updates may have deleted earlier SAs, so the date is more reliable than the SA number). Start dates can be backdated to any date you wish (although if there are large numbers before 1998, these may incur an extra fee). Send a payment for £10 (cheques payable to Aerostationery, please) and that's it. As soon as there are some updates, they will be sent out.
